Job Summary:

As the Automotive Shop Manager, you will oversee all aspects of shop operations, from customer service to workflow management. You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the automotive shop

• Schedule and manage technicians and service advisor

• Provide excellent customer service and handle escalations

• Maintain accurate records of services, inventory, and employee performance

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• Monitor and improve shop efficiency, productivity, and profitability

• Develop and implement shop policies and procedures

• Help diagnose vehicles and coordinate jobs with technicians

• Order parts and maintain inventory levels

• Train and motivate staff

  Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive repair or shop management

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and parts

• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and inventory

• Proficient with shop management software (e.g., Tekmetric, Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, etc.)

• High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications (e.g., ASE) a plus
